Do any actual Liberals support the health care reform as it is now?
I am wondering who actually supports this bill. I’m sure at least 1 million people will actually benefit from finally being able to get health insurance, but at what cost? This seems to benefit the insurance companies as they now have 30 million more customers. And, you just know they won’t bring prices down, despite the fact a bigger pool should do just that.
When it comes to US health care reform, why don’t they just pass something they can agree on now?
Simple things like removing exclusions on preexisting conditions and life time benefit caps and maybe interstate pools and insurance sales.
That stuff could all be done today
Why not do that stuff and worry about more contentious issues later?

Which candidate do you agree with on Health insurance?

A=Mandatory universal coverage in first term. Tax credits for working families to make insurance more affordable — ensuring premiums do not exceed a percentage of income. Business would be required to offer insurance to employees or pay into a pool for people without it. Expand Medicare and federal employees’ health insurance plan to cover those without adequate workplace insurance. Raise taxes on wealthier families to help pay estimated cost of $110 billion a year. Also, raise taxes on a portion of “very generous” plans covering people making more than $250,000.
B=Mandatory coverage for children, no mandate for all. Aim for universal coverage by requiring employers to share costs of insuring workers and by offering coverage similar to that in plan for federal employees. Says package would cost up to $65 billion a year after unspecified savings from making system more efficient. Raise taxes on wealthier families to pay the cost.
C=$2,500 refundable tax credit for individuals, $5,000 for families, to make health insurance more affordable. No mandate for universal coverage. In gaining the tax credit, workers could not deduct the portion of their workplace health insurance paid by their employers.
D=Incentives for states to expand affordable coverage. As governor, he signed health care law aimed at ensuring universal coverage through a mix of subsidies, sliding scale premiums and penalties for those who do not get insurance.
No Ron Paul answers please, just refrain from posting. Thank you.
A= Clinton
B= Obama
C= McCain
D= Romney

My high deductible health prems have gone up 400% in 8 yrs. What is the average of premium ins. It this high?
Anyone else not happy with HSA’s? This continues, I will have to dissolve my business and work for someone where I am in a pool of people they buy insurance for. Sad.

Health insurance for preexisting conditions

I’ve been denied health insurance under a private plan due to preexisting conditions and have to wait 3-5 months to be accepted into the CA high risk pool at a cost of $320/month which I really can’t afford. Also, my employeer doesn’t offer health insurance.
Does anyone know how to get coverage?

Will you pay for my health insurance?

I live in Kentucky. I make $80,000 a year and my two children have health insurance. But, I was thinking that it would be so cool if y’all would pool your money together and pay for little Suzie and Johnnie’s health insurance. I mean – it’s for the children . . . the little children!
(oooh! can y’all throw in a little extra so that I can have Starbucks 3 times a week)
