When can I apply for the insurance pool to cover my pre-existing conditions?
I have no insurance for over 6 months.

Health insurance for preexisting conditions
I’ve been denied health insurance under a private plan due to preexisting conditions and have to wait 3-5 months to be accepted into the CA high risk pool at a cost of $320/month which I really can’t afford. Also, my employeer doesn’t offer health insurance.
Does anyone know how to get coverage?

How will not allowing insurance companies to reject people for existing conditions work?
Im not a fan of insurance but isn’t this practice necessary so that the pool of people isn’t bankrupted? If your home floods, you can’t run out and buy flood insurance so someone else pays, I know this is an oversimplification and callous but how can this possibly work?
